PhD candidate Filothei Pappa received the Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the National Technical University of Athens (2011) and her Master degree in Applied Physics (2014) from the same University. She is currently a PhD candidate in Department of Physics of National Technical University of Athens. She has participated in two European research programs (BlackSeaHazNet, 12CHN212). Her research activities are focused on Environmental Radioactivity and in Instrumentation and techniques on Nuclear Physics applications (gamma-ray spectrometry (HPGe, NaI(Tl), CeBr3), 137Cs pre-concentration techniques, alpha spectroscopy (RAD7, Alphaguard)). She attended in a training activity for 3 months in the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre (SCK CEN). She has been a member of Hellenic Nuclear Physics Society and has participated in several Greek Conferences and in the International Conference of Environmental Radioactivity “ENVIRA”. Her record includes over 2 publications in scientific journals and over 6 papers in conference proceedings
